The 2nd IAH Central European Groundwater Conference 2015 will be hosted by Bavaria Blue Hotel from Mamaia resort, just in the northern part of Constanta town (6 km from Railway station, 35 km from Airport).

You can get the Conference venue by plane, to Constanta or Bucharest airport, by train or by car.  The organizers will provide shuttle transport from airports or railway station to the Hotel. Maps and detailed routes will be available on Conference site.

 

Constanța historically known as Tomis (Greek: Κωνστάντζα) is the oldest still-populated city in Romania. It was founded around 600 BC. The city is located in the Dobruja region of Romania, on the Black Sea coast. It is the capital of Constanța County and the largest city in the region. Constanța is the fifth most populous city in Romania. The Constanța metropolitan area includes 14 localities within 30 km (19 mi) of the city and, with 425.916 inhabitants, it is the second largest metropolitan area in Romania. The Port of Constanța has an area of 39.26 sq km and a length of about 30 km. It is the largest port on the Black Sea, and one of the largest ports in Europe.

Mamaia – is the most important resort, situated north of the city of Constanta, on a strip of land separating the Black Sea from the Siutghiol Lake. Mamaia is a popular destination during summer time, for Romanians as well as for foreign tourists, as a result of major programs of investment.
